Friday Favourite

I can't believe its Friday already, feels like yesterday I wrote my last Friday favourite :). Anyway, this week I thought I would share my favourite workouts.

Jillian Michaels ~ Killer Buns & Thighs and Ripped in 30. I couldn't pick just one, I 'Love' both of these. I say 'Love' they are great but seriously they are hard!!

These workouts are only 30 mins long, which is great if you don't have much time.
Killer Buns & Thighs, Is a KILLER!!! ;) its a great one to do for Leg day.

What's your favourite workout? Have you tried any of Jillians? I would love to know :)

:) till next time

Workouts ~ My Fitness Journey :)

I don't go to a gym to workout, I workout at home. 3 reasons why.
  1. I can't afford to go to a gym,
  2. I don't have the confidence to workout in a gym,
  3. I believe you don't need to go to a gym to get a good workout.
As long as you keep active, I don't think you need a gym.
I did go to a gym, I used to go about once a week. The last time I went was in 2004! All through my weight loss journey I never stepped one foot in a gym.
I've always been into fitness and over the years I have purchased bits of workout equipment, like, a set of weights, yoga bits, a lateral thigh trainer, A Fitness Ball, a skipping rope and Jillian Michaels DVDs etc.

Lateral Thigh Trainer.

One of the best things I have purchased is a Polar Watch.

I've only had this watch for a year and I wear it all the time!.
I decided to get a polar watch because I wanted to make sure I was getting the most out of my workouts. A lot of people I follow on Instagram have them and I noticed on The Biggest Loser Australia they also use them.
There are quite a few different Polar watches to choose from, but I picked this one because its Pink! yep that's right, the only reason I got this one is because its pink. :)

Wearing my polar watch while working out, I can keep an eye on my heart rate, making sure 'I'm in the zone'.  Its great for keeping track of how many calories I burn in each workout and whether I need to up my workouts. I've noticed after doing half an hour on the Wii Fit, I'm not burning as much as I used too. So now I've changed my workout.

I did 2 workouts

I also get a workout in when I take the dogs for a walk :)

I like to make sure I get at least a 30 min workout a day, 5 days a week. That's normally a yoga workout and/or a Jillian Michaels Workout and Weights. But, that's not set in stone.

I'm not saying don't go to a gym, If you love it and feel comfortable in there, then that's great! but I'm saying this is what works for me (and I've given my reasons why).

Remember where ever you do workout, you can't out train a bad diet

I will share more of my workouts next time, don't want to bore you with a long post :)

Eat Clean, Train Mean!

Friday Favourite

I thought I would do a Friday Favourite on my blog. So for my first one, I'm going to share one of my favourite pictures of Woody & Jessie (my two Labradors) when they were puppies. It also happens to be the second canvas print I ordered from Canvas Design

I love this picture. It's so cute :). This picture is about 7 years old and Jessie still likes to lean on Woody.

Here it is on a Canvas

Canvas Design Review

Last week I was offered a Canvas print to review from Canvas Design .
Canvas Designs are a company formed in 2004 and specialise in making custom Canvas Prints at an affordable price, they are not wrong, their prices start from £5.99 for a 6x6 print.
I'm a big fan of Art and Photography, and I like to display my art work and pictures around my home. So when it came to picking a picture for them to put on a canvas I wanted a picture that would make me smile and feel happy, every time I looked at it. I decided to go with this picture

Happy Times
I love this picture, Just me with the dogs, walking in the fields (and with my mister, obviously, he took the picture :)) #HappyTimes :) Like seriously, who doesn't know I love dogs! and a bit of green ;).

I emailed Canvas Design my picture and they told me they would send it on Monday. Yesterday I received my print. Really quick delivery, I wasn't expecting it to arrive so soon. On there website they say 'All UK MAINLAND orders come with FREE 48 HOUR shipping'

I was so excited, I couldn't wait to see my print and they didn't specify what size print I would be getting. So I was really intrigued to see how it would look.

I wasn't disappointed. I love it!!! The picture quality is brilliant! This frame is about 23 1/2" x 17 1/2." I really cannot find a fault with this print.

All their canvas prints are 100% cotton and stretched by hand and a put on a wooden 100% pine frame, you also have a choice between a Thin (Canvas Lite) or Thick (Canvas Classic) frame.  This one is a Canvas Classic

Also, I should add this Canvas was very well packaged.

And you get a free hanging kit with your print.

I'm so happy with this print, I went online and ordered another Canvas from them today. I found their website really easy to use. Hopefully I should receive the print by the end of the week :).
Looking forward to seeing how my other print will look :)
If you would like to order a canvas print from Canvas Designs, I have here a brilliant discount code for 15% off your order. Code: BLOG15 (don't forget to add it!).
Let me know if you decide to get a print, I would love to see it :)

Peanut Butter!!!!

I love Peanut Butter, its so good for you! Google if you don't believe me. (Plus remember, everything in moderation!). I've been looking for the best peanut butter to get, that doesn't have added salt, sugar and Palm Oil!. I try not to use products that contain Palm Oil (see link for reasons why.)  The 'Natural' peanut butters or other nut butter brands seem to contain Palm Oil!! :(.
So I thought I would have a go at making some Peanut Butter myself.

I never realised how easy it is to make!

I used about 40g of Monkey Nuts. Put them in the Magic Bullet (or you can use any other Food Processor / blender). I didn't add any peanut oil to mine.

Just keep blending the Peanuts till they look like peanut butter. Its that easy!

I put my peanut butter on a Newburn Bakehouse Seeded Thin. It tasted Great!
Fresh, No added Salt, Sugar or Palm Oil, Peanut Butter! YUM!

Next time I might add some peanut oil, just to make it more smooth.

Lunch Off

Last month I noticed Newburn Bakehouse was running a Lunch Off Competition, they wanted us to share with them our GF recipes using one of their Newburn Bakehouse products.
I was thinking do I enter or not, Is my recipe good enough?. So I thought, why not, you've got to be in it to win it.
So I entered my very yummy Gluten Free Pizza , using one of their wraps. (See Food: Gluten Free Wraps Post for more :)).

Well, about two weeks after I entered, I got an email :).
My Pizza was only blinking picked! I'm one of the 12 Winners! I'm so happy, I couldn't wait to get my Prize Hamper.

My Hamper

Today I got my hamper, I've never had a hamper before, Its so cute!.
Inside the hamper:

1 pack of wraps and 3 packs of Sandwich Thins, (2 seeded, 1 white). Looking forward to trying the seeded thins :)

And 1 Thermos Lunch Sack and 2 Cath Kidston Sandwich Boxes

Cute :)

Being Gluten Intolerant, I need to take my own food with me when ever I go any where. I obviously don't have to, a lot of places are now catering for people with coeliac disease, but on the safe side I prefer to take my own. Also GF food is expensive!. These Cath Kidston Sandwich boxes and Thermos Lunch Sack are very handy! I will be using these a lot.
Think I will make a pizza for my dinner :)
Thank you so much Newburn Bakehouse ~ I love my prize hamper :)

Must Read More

I love reading, Its one of my favourite things. I used to read so much esp. on the train on the way to work. But since I no longer travel to work. I found it quite hard to find time to read (and Relax!). My bookshelf is full of books I have collected over the years and there are a lot I haven't read. This year one of my resolutions was to read more.

So far this Year I have read 2 books (I know that's bad).

The first one was Michael McIntyre's - Life & Laughing.

This book is about Michaels life and how he become one of todays Favourite Comedians (I love his new chat show on the BBC) This book is hilarious, I'm so glad I didn't read this book in public. I was seriously Laughing out Loud reading this book. Michael is one of my favourite comedians and he seriously didn't disappoint with this book. It's a must have for any Michael McIntyre Fan.

The second book is Dan Brown - The Lost Symbol

I Finished the last half of this book in the last two weeks, I was looking after these two, I had a lot of free time on my hands :).

Dan Brown is one of my favourite authors. I have read all of his books and with this one we are back with Robert Langdon ( yes I picture Tom Hanks ) Finding out all the dark mysteries Washington DC is hiding (intrigued? I know I was ). I really hope they adapt this book to film too. I loved this book! I really didn't want this book to end. But good news! Dan Brown has released his new book Inferno in Paperback (need to get this book) I think its out now and we get to join Robert again. yay! :)
The book I've decided to read next is Sophie Kinsella - Shopaholic & Baby ( yes I know its old, I did say I have a lot of books I haven't read yet). I'm looking forward to catching up with Becky Brandon :).

In other news: My parents have just come back from Portugal. They used to always bring me back a Portuguese Roll, (I Loved Them!!) but, I can't eat them anymore #sadtimes. So instead they brought me back an Orange!!

LOL #eatclean! :) Thanks mum and dad :)xx
