Workouts ~ My Fitness Journey :)

I don't go to a gym to workout, I workout at home. 3 reasons why.
  1. I can't afford to go to a gym,
  2. I don't have the confidence to workout in a gym,
  3. I believe you don't need to go to a gym to get a good workout.
As long as you keep active, I don't think you need a gym.
I did go to a gym, I used to go about once a week. The last time I went was in 2004! All through my weight loss journey I never stepped one foot in a gym.
I've always been into fitness and over the years I have purchased bits of workout equipment, like, a set of weights, yoga bits, a lateral thigh trainer, A Fitness Ball, a skipping rope and Jillian Michaels DVDs etc.

One of the best things I have purchased is a Polar Watch.

I've only had this watch for a year and I wear it all the time!.
I decided to get a polar watch because I wanted to make sure I was getting the most out of my workouts. A lot of people I follow on Instagram have them and I noticed on The Biggest Loser Australia they also use them.
There are quite a few different Polar watches to choose from, but I picked this one because its Pink! yep that's right, the only reason I got this one is because its pink. :)

Wearing my polar watch while working out, I can keep an eye on my heart rate, making sure 'I'm in the zone'.  Its great for keeping track of how many calories I burn in each workout and whether I need to up my workouts. I've noticed after doing half an hour on the Wii Fit, I'm not burning as much as I used too. So now I've changed my workout.

I did 2 workouts

I also get a workout in when I take the dogs for a walk :)

I like to make sure I get at least a 30 min workout a day, 5 days a week. That's normally a yoga workout and/or a Jillian Michaels Workout and Weights. But, that's not set in stone.

I'm not saying don't go to a gym, If you love it and feel comfortable in there, then that's great! but I'm saying this is what works for me (and I've given my reasons why).

Remember where ever you do workout, you can't out train a bad diet

I will share more of my workouts next time, don't want to bore you with a long post :)
