Air Motion Pro Hair Brush

I've mentioned in a previous post ( Care for your Hair) I've been doing a lot of researching and trying to look after my hair. I found a competition to win a AirMotion Hair brush. I read (in the prize details) this is an Air Motion Brush design for stress- free hair, it glides through your hair.
I have never heard of this hairbrush before but, I was thinking this is the brush I'm looking for so I thought why not enter, and I was one of the winners. :)

Well, what can I say about this brush.... It is AWESOME!! really! It really is. The only way I can describe this brush is, It feels like it isn't brushing your hair, but obviously it is. It leaves my hair feeling so smooth.

This weeks Favourites ~ Friday Favourite

A little round up of my favourite things that happened the past week.

First thing, I've finally figured out how to make my blog page wider so my pictures are now bigger, and with my new camera they will be clearer too. Yay!! Its only taken me nearly a year :/ . I think it looks so much better now my pictures are bigger, Hope you all like it/prefer it too :).

Saturday was Valentines day, This Valentines was the first my Mr. and I decided not to make a big fuss over (no cards or gifts) But. He still surprised me with a beautiful bunch of Tulips :)

We also made some (Gluten and Dairy Free) Peanut Butter cookies :) (Last year we made Chocolate hearts)

Yes that is a Mickey Mouse cookie :) (I've been wanting to use this Cookie / Embossing cutter for ages!!)  They tasted so good :) Sadly Mickey lost his ears ;)

This week I also lit one of my new Yankee Candles ~ Aloe Water . If you love the smell of Aloe Vera you will love this candle.

Care for your Hair ~ Invisibobble

I'm probably the last person that can give Hair advice. I have thick, (most people would call it) Frizzy, Hair. The kind of hair that once a bit of moisture and/or wind touches it (after I've spent ages Straightening! might I add ) kinda turns into a bouffant, but a frizzy one. lol.

But. I did say Have, its more like Had, I mentioned in previous posts (I will leave links to a few old posts at the end :) ) the past 4 years my body has been through a lot and My hair seems to have taken the brunt of it. It pretty much fell out. Not all of it, but a lot of it.

Your body always tells you when something is wrong or when its trying to heal itself, it normally tells you by how well your Nails, Skin and Hair looks.

Luckily my body is showing signs that it is nearly healed, because my nails are growing strong and My hair is growing back (yay!). I have never been so happy to have frizzy hair :).

I've been doing so much research on what I can do to look after my hair and to help it grow. I've tried everything (feels like):
  • Nails, Hair and Skin Vitamins (waste of money! IMO)
  • Natural Shampoo and Conditioners (not a fan, they left my hair feeling greasy)
  • So many Shampoo and Conditioners for 'Hair repair' (didn't notice any difference)
  • Instead of using a towel to dry your hair, Using a T-shirt (Yep, again noticed no difference from using a towel)
  • Leaving your Hair to dry Naturally (Not good for my 'frizzy' Hair!!)
  • Not brushing your hair a lot (easy for me I don't leave the house a lot)
  • Longer time between washing your hair. (again good because I don't leave the house a lot. But, feels horrible!)
  • Healthy diet
  • Drink lots of WATER
  • Leave in Conditioners
  • Coconut oil
What I've learnt out of all of these, I'm just going to stick with
  • Healthy diet
  • Drink lots of Water
  • Once a month use Coconut oil
and obviously
  • Shampoo and Conditioner

It really does :)

But, I was still looking for ways of stopping my hair from falling out. because I like to tie my hair back (which isn't good for your hair).

I've seen on a few blogs and on Social Media Invisibobble. I've read so many good things, I've finally purchased myself a box (on eBay, they also sell them in Boots)

They come in so many different colours, I picked Foggy night grey (Silver) (I also surprised myself by not getting a Purple set ;) but I will be!)

These hair bands are Perfect, they feel so light in my hair, yet strong enough to keep your hair tied back/up. Obviously not sure what they are like on long, thick hair (yet) but, what I've read on other blogs they are. I don't feel the band pulling my hair, which makes me feel great. I wish I had purchased a set when I first heard about them. I've been using scrunchies (very 80's early 90's ;) well I was born in the 80's ;)) and staying clear from elastic hair ties in my hair.

They also make cute Bracelets :)

I will definitely be purchasing more.

And one positive thing out of all of this ~ For once in my life I don't care about my 'frizzy' hair. You really don't know what you've got till its gone.

Morning Workout routine ~ Fitness Journey

Please note I'm not a personal trainer. Also this is Not a sponsored post,  this is what I find works for me.

Every morning (okay, nearly every morning ;) ) I like to do a little Yoga workout before I have breakfast.

I've said in a pervious post Keep Calm and Do Yoga I started practicing yoga on my Wii when they released the Wii Board and Wii Fit games. For those of you who know me and if you've been following me for a while, know I'm a gamer. So mixing Fitness with Computer games is Awesome! :).

This routine is my favourite (at the moment). I think I've found a right balance of Stretches and balance poses for my morning routine. A nice gently workout that gets my heart rate up and makes me feel ready for the day. I sometimes add a few extra poses, but, that depends on how hungry I am ;).

Also if I'm feeling really energetic, I might have a go on the aerobic section, which I mainly try and improve my score on the Step plus aerobics.

Be Strong in 2015 ~ Yoga Challenge

After taking a break from Yoga and working out over the Christmas holidays, I've learnt very quickly to not take breaks, esp. long ones! I felt so crappy :(. I thought taking a (about) 2 week break would be okay because my food was good. I know November was a bad month for me with the workouts but these 2 weeks made me REALLY want to get back to my routine. I did have quite a few Duvet days over the Christmas holidays, don't get me wrong I enjoyed them, but I paid the price.

I will only take a break from now on when my body needs it, not because of a 'Holiday'. 
On the 1st of January I did my measurements and started getting back in to my workout routines.

#BeStrongin2015 is a great name for this months yoga challenge, It has helped me realise how much Stronger I'm getting, even after taking a break. I've progressed in quite a few poses, I can now hold a Crow Pose (its not perfect buts its progress ;) ) I just need to work on straightening my arms. And the best thing I've accomplished in my Yoga Journey so far is, I can now do a Headstand!!

Doing a Headstand has been one of my main goals in my Fitness/Yoga Journey, to be able to do a headstand again I'm so happy. Its was only three weeks before when I was so happy that I managed to hold the Tripod Headstand for 1/2 a second ( yes 1/2 a second..Progress is Progress, no matter how small ;) ). I'm still quite shocked I can now do a Headstand.

( I have also shared a few Videos on my Instagram page, I was going to put them on YouTube so I can share them on here, But the files are not loading :(. Next time I will film them on my new camera instead of my Misters phone. )

If you follow me on Instagram, you would know from the 23rd, I had my first Yoga injury when I attempted the 23rd pose, I then decided to stop with this months challenge mainly because the Yoga poses involved Arm balances :( I'm ok, Just a bit bruised and my head, neck and back, ache really bad. I've learnt it isn't a good idea to practice balance esp. Arm balance poses when you are unwell :(. Because of this injury I had to take a few rest days :(, I wasn't too happy about that, but I think I had concussion so it was needed :/

Anyway, I don't want to focus on that, I have progressed so much in my Yoga/Fitness Journey, I'm looking forward to seeing how much progress I achieve in my flexibility, with Februarys Challenge ~ Lets Get Flexy in 2015
